Face and Neck Lift
Sooner or later our skin progressively loses its elasticity and our muscles tend to slacken. These changes are part of the normal ageing process, and may be accelerated by the stress of daily life, the effects of gravity and exposure to the sun. These changes are particularly evident in the face and neck. Skin folds and smile lines deepen, the corners of the mouth can droop, the jaw line may sag and the skin of the neck becomes slack. It is important to remember that the degree of these age related changes (and the rate at which they occur) varies from one individual to another. This process is believed to be largely determined by our genes.
Ageing of the facial skin doesn’t necessarily reflect the rate of ageing of the rest of our body (and mind!). Many people feel frustrated that the face they see in the mirror is not the one they feel should be there. A face and neck lift can rejuvenate an ageing face very successfully. It shouldn’t be obvious that an individual has had a face lift; rather they should look younger, more vital and more cheerful. There are several different types of face and neck lift. The selection of procedure type depends upon the facial examination, and your individual preference.
