Scarring occurs whenever the skin is disrupted, either following surgery or following traumatic injury. Unfortunately there are many reasons why the appearance of a scar may be less then optimal. Some of these scars may be amenable to improvement utilising plastic surgery techniques.

Dr Boorer uses a variety of techniques to manage scarring, ranging from simple, non-invasive measures that can be performed at home, through to reconstructive procedures or scar revision. She will assess and advise you regarding the best options for your particular scar.
